CLASSES & INSTRUCTION

To provide a safe and focused learning environment, parents are not permitted in the classroom before or during class unless the class requires caregiver participation.

Parents are invited to observe classes during the following designated observation weeks:

  • Last 15 minutes of the first class in September

  • Third week of December

  • Last week of April

These observation times allow families to see their dancer's progress. Please, no exceptions.

Prospective students may observe one class with the instructor's permission.

Instructors may occasionally invite parents into the classroom at the end of class to discuss progress or demonstrate skills that should be practiced at home.

If you would like to discuss your child's progress or have any concerns, please schedule an appointment with the studio staff. To ensure instructors can focus on teaching, consultations are not available during class time.

All preschool students must be fully potty trained before enrolling.

Students are expected to demonstrate respectful behavior toward instructors and classmates. If a dancer's behavior becomes disruptive, a parent or guardian will be notified. Continued behavior concerns may result in dismissal from the studio.

ATTENDANCE & TARDINESS

To help every dancer get the most out of their training, students should arrive no more than 5 minutes before class. Dancers who arrive early should wait in the lobby until their instructor invites them into the classroom, as students are not permitted in the dance rooms before class begins.

Children 8 years old and younger must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult when entering and exiting the building. Parents are welcome to wait in the lobby or in their vehicle during class.

Because each class includes important warm-up exercises, stretching, and technique progressions, dancers who arrive more than 10 minutes late may miss critical instruction. Excessive tardiness can be disruptive to the class and may impact a dancer's safety and progress. Students arriving late will be marked tardy.

To minimize interruptions during class, dancers should use the restroom before class begins whenever possible.

ABSENCES & MAKE-UP POLICY

If your dancer will be absent due to illness, injury, vacation, or another planned event, please notify the studio as soon as possible. Students with multiple unexplained absences may be contacted by the studio after missing two consecutive classes.

Students are encouraged to make up missed classes whenever possible. Classes missed due to illness, injury, tardiness, or pre-arranged vacations may be made up within 30 days of the missed class. All make-up classes must be approved by studio staff and will be scheduled in a class of a similar style and appropriate skill level.

To arrange a make-up class, please contact the studio front desk.

CLASS WITHDRAWAL  POLICY

IMG_6945_edited_edited.png

If you need to withdraw a student from classes, a written notice is required. All withdrawal requests must be submitted by the parent or legal guardian via email to the studio. Verbal requests, phone calls, text messages, or messages sent through instructors will not be accepted.

To avoid being charged for the following month's tuition, the studio must receive written notice at least 30 days prior to the next billing cycle. Withdrawal requests received on or after the first day of the month will be processed for the next billing cycle and are not retroactive.

Tuition and fees remain the responsibility of the account holder until written notice of withdrawal is received and processed by the studio. If a student withdraws during the middle of a month, the full month's tuition remains due and will not be prorated.

Please note that all tuition and fees are non-refundable, including fees paid for the month in which the withdrawal occurs. Any outstanding balances on the account remain due and payable and may be subject to collection if left unpaid. The effective date of cancellation is the date the written withdrawal request is received by the studio.
